Dr DI STEFANO Rossella WG4 Research interest Our research is mainly devoted to the study of human endothelial progenitor cells (EPC) since their discovery in 1997 and to their applications in the cardiovascular field. Macrovascular endothelial cells (human umbilical vein endothelial cells, HUVEC) are also used in different in vitro settings. In particular: tissue engineering for regeneration of ischemic tissues (myocardium, hind limb) by natural and synthetic matrices and stem cells. |
